I have been in contact with my students using Blackboard (Bb). Usually, we use Bb for daily homework posting. But during snow days, I am using Bb for review activities. For instance, for Japanese 1, Hiragana review activities, for Japanese 2 Katakana review activities, for J3 kanji review activities, and J4 and AP Japanese, APJ kanji review activities. For strategies, for all the levels, I use graphic organizers. It is great for organizing vocabulary according to a topic. It is a prep for speech, conversation or composition. For completing graphic organizer, I use the brainstorming strategy and overhead transparency, so that all the students will have enough words to work with.
