Yoko Thakur's response to snow days question

I have been in contact with my students using Blackboard (Bb).  Usually, we use Bb for daily homework posting.  But during snow days, I am using Bb for review activities.  For instance, for Japanese 1, Hiragana review activities, for Japanese 2 Katakana review activities, for J3 kanji review activities, and J4 and AP Japanese, APJ kanji review activities.  For strategies, for all the levels, I use graphic organizers. It is great for organizing vocabulary according to a topic.  It is a prep for speech, conversation or composition.  For completing graphic organizer, I use the brainstorming strategy and overhead transparency, so that all the students will have enough words to work with. Please let me know if you have any suggestions.
Have a nice snow day!!

How are you doing in the snow?

Dear Senseigata:
How have you been handling the blizzard? My universities are sending out messages about staying in touch with their students while the school is closed. These days it's not so hard with all the electronic means of communication available.
I have a blog with my students and asked them to read each others' blog posts and then post a comment on one of them.
What are you doing?

Have you tried any strategy instruction since our workshop? If so, please let me know and share with this group.
